- First-inning HRs from Randal Grichuk and Matt Holliday stood up for a 2-1 Cardinals win over the Reds Friday night at Busch Stadium, reducing the Cardinals magic number to seven for clinching the NL Central.

- Michael Wacha will make his first start since Sept. 9 tonight while Mike Leake will pitch for the Reds. 

 - Quarterback Maty Mauk leads the country with 12 passing touchdowns so far this season but will be looking for even more results as Missouri hosts Indiana today in Columbia.

- Rams quarterback Shaun Hill was limited for the third consecutive practice on Friday and was officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, making it likely that Austin Davis will make his second career start.

 - The Blues will go through their second day of training camp workouts today. They play their first pre-season game Sunday night at Columbus.
