-  Adam Wainwright underwent arthroscopic surgery to trim a small piece of cartilage in his right elbow on Friday. The procedure is not expected to affect his preparation for spring training, the Cardinals said.

- The Blues placed center Paul Stastny on injured reserve Friday and recalled forward Dmitrij Jaskin from their Chicago affiliate. Stastny suffered an injury to his left shoulder last Saturday and has missed the team's last two games. The Blues, who have lost three of their last four games, host the Chicago Blackhawks tonight.

- Maty Mauk hit Bud Sasser with two touchdown passes in the second half to lift the Missouri Tigers to a 24-14 win over Vanderbilt today in Columbia. Russell Hansbrough scored the other touchdown on a 10-yard run as the Tigers improved to 3-1 in the SEC and 6-2 overall.
