- Tyson Ross allowed just four hits over six innings and the Cardinals could not take advantage of five walks in losing 3-1 to the Padres Tuesday night in San Diego. It was the 25th time in 105 games the Cardinals have either been shut out or limited to just one run. Lance Lynn was the tough-luck loser.
