- Shelby Miller won his first game of the season and Jhonny Peralta homered for the second consecutive game to lead the Cardinals to a 6-1 win over the Brewers Tuesday night in Milwaukee. Matt Holliday also hit his first home run of the season.

- The Cardinals will go for the sweep of the three-game series on Wednesday afternoon with Joe Kelly on the mound against Wily Peralta.

- The Blues will go through a full practice on Wednesday as they prepare for their first-round playoff series against the Chicago Blackhawks, which will begin Thursday night at Scottrade Center. It is the first time the longtime rivals have met in the playoffs since 2002.
