-  Adam Wainwright underwent arthroscopic surgery to trim a small piece of cartilage in his right elbow today. The procedure is not expected to affect his preparation for spring training, the Cardinals said.

- The Blues placed center Paul Stastny on injured reserve today and recalled forward Dmitrij Jaskin from their Chicago affiliate. Stastny suffered an injury to his left shoulder last Saturday and has missed the team's last two games. The Blues, who have lost three of their last four games, host the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.

- The Missouri Tigers are hoping to get their offense back on track when they host Vanderbilt for homecoming on Saturday in Columbia. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
