Reggie Agbeko Signs with Billikens


Saint Louis head men’s basketball coach Jim Crews announced today that 6-foot-8 forward Reggie Agbeko has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University and play for the Billikens. Agbeko begins his four years of eligibility in the 2013-14 academic year.

Mizzou Announces Launch of 2013 Football Season Ticket Request List

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Football season tickets are once again expected to be in high demand in anticipation of the Tigers’ sophomore season in the Southeastern Conference. Mizzou sold out its season ticket allotment for the first time ever last season and the Tigers will play one of the top home schedules in the SEC in 2013. The home slate includes five bowl teams from a year ago, with four of those winning 10 or more games in 2012, including Florida, South Carolina and Texas A&M.

-No. 10 ranked Washington University in St. Louis saw it 17-match win streak come to an end with a 5-1 loss to No. 6 ranked Williams College Tuesday in the semifinals of the 2013 NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Championship at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich.

-Sophomore first baseman Mike Vigliarolo has been named the 2013 Atlantic 10 co-Player of the Year, the conference announced today. Vigliarolo is the first Billiken to win the award in the A-10.

-Washington University in St. Louis senior outfielder Ashley Janssen, Lincoln, Neb. (Lincoln Southwest) and junior designated player Kelsey Neal, Miami, Okla. (Miami) were named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America Division III Softball Second Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

-Washington University in St. Louis sophomores Zack Kessinger, Boca Raton, Fla. (Pine Crest Preparatory) and Dom Quaranta, Homer Glen, Ill. (Providence Catholic) were each named to the All-Central Region Third Team by D3Baseball.com, as announced Monday by the website.

-Washington University in St. Louis sophomore Drew Padgett, St. Louis, Mo. (Ladue) was selected as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced Monday by the Association.

-The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) has announced its annual Division I All-Academic wrestling team for the 2012-13 season. Mizzou’s Nathan McCormick and Alan Waters represented Tiger Style wrestling on this year’s list after both claimed All-American honors on the mat this past March. A total of 82 collegiate wrestlers were selected.

-The No. 10 ranked Washington University in St. Louis men’s tennis team advanced to its sixth-straight NCAA Division III Final Four with a 5-1 win over No. 2 Kenyon College Monday afternoon at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Mich. 

-Junior RHP Clay Smith was named the final Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week for the 2013 season, the conference office announced today. It is the second time this season Smith has earned Pitcher of the Week accolades.

- The No. 12-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women’s tennis team had its season come to an end with a 5-1 loss to No. 1 Amherst College in the 2013 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Quarterfinal Monday morning at Stowe Stadium.

- Saint Louis claimed a share of the regular season crown and earned the top seed in next week's Atlantic 10 Conference Championship with a 2-1 win over co-champion Charlotte. Sophomore Nick Bates picks up the win after throwing 6.1 innings with five strikeouts and two walks. Freshman Matt Eckelman gets his third save after facing six batters, retiring all of them, and striking out three. The Billikens wrap up the regular season with a 36-18 record overall and 17-7 in conference play. It is the second-most wins in a season in SLU history.

-The Washington University in St. Louis track & field teams had three men and six women qualify to compete at the 2013 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held Thursday-Saturday, May 23-25, at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in La Crosse, Wis.
